News and Announcements

We are excited to announce that this year WGLL will be fielding a Challenger Team. The Little League Challenger Program is Little League’s adaptive baseball program for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate.

If an individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softball program with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 4-18. Players will be “buddied” up with players from our major teams for games on Sundays vs other Challenger teams in the area. This is a great program for everyone involved.

Greg Armanino has joined the WGLL board and will be running this program for WGLL. If you have any questions about this program, please reach out to Greg at for more information.

Fall Ball Registration is OPEN!

Posted by Willow Glen Little League at Jul 19, 2017 10:50PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Fall Ball registration will be open up until Labor Day.

Season Overview
The Season will run after Labor Day through the end of October/early November. You will be receiving more information as the season gets closer as schedules are still being pulled together. The fall baseball program will entail ~8 weeks. Teams will be formed for each age group which will have one week night practice and one Saturday game per week. Practice schedules will be communicated once registration is complete and is dependent on field and coach’s availablity. Practices will all take place at Bramhall park and games will be played against other teams across district 12.

Fall Ball
The coaches will emphasizing hitting, proper fielding, throwing and base running. Fall-ball is all about developing the players, in a fun and relaxed environment. We want players to play outside their comfort zone and not be afraid of making errors. Making errors is part of learning baseball. Being able to make those errors in a safe and fun environment is priceless. As in life, “success is the result of good judgment, good judgment is the result of experience, and experience is the result of bad judgment.”

Learning to love baseball for baseball’s sake is one of the great things about Fall-ball.

The league will provide the players with a Fall-Ball shirt and baseball hat. You will need to provide a helmet and glove and personal protective gear (cup). Teams will have bats if your player does not have them.
