What is a 'Little League Age'?
WGLL follows Little League International's rules for ages. Your child's Little League will be calculated for you when you register. You can also learn your child's LL Age by viewing this chart:

What divisions are available for each Little League Age?
Here is a helpful chart that explains WGLL's divisions.

In addition to those six divisions, we offer Challenger for players of all ages with physical or intellectual challenges. We also offer Juniors - a preview of high school baseball - for LL Ages 13-14 at Willow Glen High School's JV Field.
How is a player's placement determined?
The family decides the child's placement for Tee Ball, Coach Toss, and A - Machine Pitch. Please refer to the chart below for your options. In addition, friend requests are honored at those levels.
For AA and above, WGLL uses drafts to ensure that a child is properly placed. The family makes an initial placement request, and WGLL uses Evaluation Day on Jan 10, 2025 to help prepare for a draft. Please refer to the chart below for our approach to LL ages and each division.

We want to reiterate that the family makes the initial placement request. However, your child's placement may be different for AA, AAA, and Majors based on Evaluation Day and each division's draft. In other words...
| If my child is a LL 8... | My child must be drafted up to AA. If not, my child will be in A - Machine. |
| If my child is a LL 9... | My child must be drafted up to AAA. If not, my child will be in AA. |
| If my child is a LL 10.... | My child will be in AAA. |
| If my child is a LL 11... | My child must be drafted up to Majors. If not, my child will be in AAA. |
| If my child is a LL 12... | My child will be in Majors. |
* There are rare exceptions for players who should play down for safety reasons or play up as an elite player in that division. The Player Agent uses Evaluation Day and manager input to help determine such cases.
Our placement processes have served us well over the years because they prioritize player development, player safety, and -- most importantly -- ensure that your child has a fun little league experience.
When is Evaluation Day?
All players in Little League Ages 8-12 must attend Evaluation Day on Saturday, January 10 at Bramhall. You will receive more information about your child's LL age group time slot.
What do I need to register?
You will need your child's birth certificate.
If your child is a Little League Age 4-7, no additional documents are needed. We strongly recommend that you play at your little league because little league is a community-based organization.
If your child is a Little League Age 8 and above, you will also need to prove eligibility through your residence or your school. If you are not sure if your home or school are in our boundaries, please use the Little League Finder. (Due to a new LL rule, you do not need to prove eligibility as a Little League 8 if you played in WGLL last year as a Little League Age 7.) There are three main ways to be eligible:
1️⃣ If you will be using your residence, you need three documents, or
2️⃣ If you will be using your school, you will need to complete the school enrollment form which requires the principal's signature, or
3️⃣ If you moved away or no longer attend the school, you may stay in WGLL through a II(d) waiver if you do not start playing in another little league. You must work closely with WGLL to ensure that waiver is properly completed.
Important: Your eligibility is verified by WGLL boardmembers. These rules are strictly followed.
Do you provide any financial help with the fees?
